ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Kristi Trbojevic is the Founder and Creative Director of Tekaï, a Sydney-based fashion label grounded in refined simplicity, considered design, and modern elegance.
The idea for Tekaï began years before the brand officially launched - first taking shape as a Year 11 business studies concept that left a lasting impression. What started as an early creative vision evolved over time into a clear ambition: to build a fashion brand with intention, longevity, and meaning.
Kristi went on to complete a Bachelor of Marketing and Media, followed by five years working in corporate media sales, where she developed a strong understanding of branding, consumer insight, and strategic growth. Throughout that time, her long-term goal remained unchanged - to bring Tekaï to life.
More than a decade after its initial conception, that vision became a reality.
As Creative Director, Kristi brings a meticulous eye and hands-on approach to every stage of the design process. Working closely with her Melbourne-based product development team, she ensures each piece is thoughtfully developed, refined, and executed to the highest standard.
Tekaï's debut collection, Parasol, is inspired by Sydney’s Northern Beaches - reflecting light, confidence, and a relaxed yet polished Australian sensibility.
Through Tekaï, Kristi continues to build a brand defined by clarity, restraint, and quiet confidence - creating pieces that feel modern, intentional, and enduring.
